Welcome to the 100 West Cromwell Road consultation website

The 100 West Cromwell Road site. Please note the site does not include the Tesco superstore.

Meyer Bergman and development managers Londonewcastle held two rounds of public engagement on proposals for 100 West Cromwell Road in October and December 2018.

An application for the site was then submitted to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) in early 2019. It was then considered but rejected by the Council’s planning committee in May.

Obviously we were disappointed with the decision of RBKC’s Planning Committee. The proposed scheme would have delivered a total of 427 homes, 145 of which were affordable and half of these would have been for social rent. In addition, the proposals would have delivered a new community sports hall, a pool with access for local schools and over an acre of public landscaped space alongside new commercial offices.

The application was subsequently recovered by the Mayor of London in July 2019. The Mayor will now act as the local authority in deciding on a revised planning application. We are currently awaiting information on the next steps in the process and will update this website in due course.
